For many girls, education is the key to a brighter future. Yet every month, thousands of girls face an invisible challenge that keeps them away from the classroom, lack of access to safe and affordable menstrual hygiene products.
At Apecho Foundation, we believe that menstruation should never be a barrier to education, confidence, or opportunity. Through our Pad a Girl initiative, we are working to ensure that every girl can manage her menstrual health with dignity and continue pursuing her dreams without interruption.
Our program goes beyond the distribution of sanitary pads. We provide menstrual hygiene education that equips girls with accurate information about their bodies, promotes healthy hygiene practices, and helps eliminate the stigma surrounding menstruation. By creating safe spaces for open conversations, we empower girls with the confidence to embrace this natural part of life.

The initiative also involves parents, teachers, healthcare workers, and community leaders. Together, we are building supportive environments where girls feel respected, understood, and encouraged to stay in school throughout their education.
When a girl has access to menstrual hygiene products and the knowledge to use them safely, the impact extends far beyond her monthly cycle. She attends school more consistently, performs better academically, gains greater self confidence, and is better prepared to pursue the future she dreams of.

Every sanitary pad distributed represents more than a health product. It represents dignity, opportunity, hope, and a commitment to gender equality.
At Apecho Foundation, we remain committed to ensuring that no girl misses school simply because she cannot afford basic menstrual hygiene products. Together with our partners, supporters, and communities, we are creating lasting change, one girl at a time.
